& your home
At Townsville Internet, in addition to providing internet, we also provide security solutions to help protect what matters most. These solutions include security cameras, door access locks & security doorbells. Our security camera installations are perfect for homes, offices, and rural properties across Townsville.
Our team is based right here in Townsville, so they’ll visit & inspect your property in order to tailor a security solution designed to suit your needs.
We use Ubiquiti hardware for our security installations. Our range of cameras are wired as they are more protected against Wi-Fi outages and less prone to both digital and physical tampering when compared to wireless cameras.

FAQs
-
No, there are no ongoing or recurring costs to operate, view and use your cameras.
The Ubiquiti software used to view footage and check the status of the cameras is free.
-
Absolutely! The Ubiquiti app is available for free on iPhone and Android.
With the app, you can view your cameras and play back footage. You can also receive notifications when the cameras detect movement.
-
All of our cameras are wired using a technology called Power over Ethernet (PoE). This allows each camera to receive power and transmit video via 1 single cable.
When we install your cameras, we’ll run lines of Cat6 PoE cable to the mounting location of each camera. This is typically done in the roof, inside walls, and along the outside of the house where possible. If cable is run along the exterior, it will be concealed & protected with conduit.
-
The number and type of cameras you need depends heavily on your requirements.
Requirements such as what you want to capture & where the cameras are being mounted, for example, influences which models are suitable.
When you talk to our local team, we can recommend a setup to maximise coverage in a cost effective manner.
-
An NVR (network video recorder) is the central hub of the system. All the cameras are wired into it and it’s responsible for processing and storing all the video footage.
-
If you experience any issues within 7 days of the installation and the hardware is faulty, we will come out and repair it free of charge. However, if the issue is caused by user error, we will charge the call out fee and any additional labour hours at our standard rate.
