Leaving your property unmonitored is not just a security problem, it is a peace of mind problem

Right now, without cameras, you have no visibility of what is happening at your property when you are not there. That uncertainty sits in the background whether you notice it or not. You lock up and leave, and there is simply no way to know.

  • Did the parcel get delivered or left at the door?

  • Did the tradie show up when they said they would?

  • Was the gate left open?

  • Who came to the door this afternoon?

Without cameras, you have no record and no way to check.

It is not always about worst-case scenarios. Most of the time it is just the everyday things you have no way of knowing, but that not knowing adds up.

When something does happen, whether it is a break-in, a dispute, or something going missing, having no footage is the moment you wish you had sorted this sooner.

Most people put off getting cameras until that moment arrives. The value of a camera system is not just what it captures after an incident, it is the ongoing confidence of knowing your property is being monitored every hour of the day, whether you are home or not.

Here is what makes hard-wired cameras different

Unlike wireless cameras, hard-wired cameras don’t rely on your Wi-Fi to record and transmit footage. Even if your internet drops or the router malfunctions, the recording doesn’t stop. There’s no gaps, drop-outs or dependence on a signal that can be interrupted. Our cameras achieve this by using a single Cat6 cable for both power delivery and data transfer.

Footage is stored locally on a separate hard drive, physically independent of the cameras. If a camera is stolen, damaged, or tampered with, the footage is already saved elsewhere on your property. There are no cloud subscriptions that can lapse, no memory cards that leave with the camera, and no third-party service your recordings depend on to remain accessible.

What Happens Next?

We design your setup: We work with you to design a system that suits your property and your needs. In most cases we do this remotely using satellite imagery and Ubiquiti's visualisation software. This allows us to superimpose the cameras onto your property, highlighting viewing angles and detection areas. If your property or system requirements are complex, we may recommend a site visit in order to provide a more accurate estimate.

1.

We send your estimate: Once the setup is confirmed, we'll send your estimate for you to review at your own pace. If there’s changes you’d like to make, we’ll continue to revise the estimate until you’re happy. Otherwise, you book your installation when you're ready. For reference, a typical 4-camera installation using G5 Turret cameras starts from $3,400.

2.

Installation: Our technicians install, configure and test everything on the day. We walk you through how to use your system before we leave. Your final price is confirmed once the job is complete, but we strive to make our estimates as accurate as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, we provide free estimates using satellite imagery and a conversation about your requirements. For most properties, this is all we need.

For more complex properties, we may recommend a site visit to give you an accurate quote. We can still provide a free estimate without one, but it may be less precise. The site visit fee is $220 and is credited in full against your invoice if you proceed with the installation.

  • We strive to make our estimates as accurate as possible, however, the final quote may be higher or lower depending on the final labour time, if additional cameras are requested on the day and the complexity of the installation.

Factors that can increase the complexity of an installation include:

    • Buildings made from brick or concrete take more time to run cables than timber-framed homes as they can require conduit installed to run the cables through.

    • Limited roof cavity access, such as a flat roof or a roof space that's difficult to move through, can also increase labour time.

    • If your property is multi-storey or there are multiple buildings requiring cameras, these factors can also increase the time taken.

If any of these apply to your property, we'll let you know whether a site visit would give you a more accurate quote.

  • No, there are no ongoing or recurring costs to operate, view and use your cameras.

The Ubiquiti software used to view footage and check the status of the cameras is free.

  • As a general guide, we allow around 1.5 hours per camera, and 2 hours per camera for brick houses.

The actual time can vary depending on factors like wall material, roof space access, and camera placement. We'll give you a more accurate time estimate once we've designed your system.

  • Yes. The free Ubiquiti app on iPhone and Android lets you view live footage, play back recordings, and receive motion notifications from anywhere.

  • Our cameras use Power over Ethernet (PoE), meaning each camera runs on a single Cat6 cable that carries both power and video. Cables are run to the location of each camera through the roof and walls where possible, and any exterior cable is concealed with conduit.

  • It depends on your property and what you want to cover. When you get in touch, our local team will recommend a setup that maximises coverage for your budget.

  • The NVR (network video recorder) is the central hub of your system. All cameras connect to it, and it handles processing and storing your footage.

  • If you experience any issues within 7 days of the installation, we will come out and repair it free of charge. However, if the issue is caused by user error, we will charge the call out fee and any additional labour hours at our standard rate.
